If you’ve never been to a comics convention before, it can certainly be an entertaining experience. I even saw Batman and Catwoman having a drink in the hotel lounge! Who KNEW!
On Saturday I went to the Trumbull Marriott Comic-CONN in Connecticut! It was an educational fact finding mission to see how my comic making peers market their work and how those attending the CONN interacted with them. I drove down with Chris Watkins, who makes the comic Odori Park and met up with Dawn Griffin of Zorphbert and Fred and her sidekick in crime, EriCa [with a C] Schultz, of M3 fame! Use a K in her name, you’ll lose a testicle! [REALLY!]
Should you ever run into any of these three, they will tell you that the reason my SUV [now named bitch lips] doesn’t listen to me, [its voice activated] is because I dont know how to talk to her, or apparently press her buttons the way she likes [but DAWN did!]! …. I get enough of THAT criticism at home! [smirk]

Reminds me of a female friend who was lying on a patio lounger and her friends Great Dan came up and started humping her and she couldn’t get the dog off..hhaha
Have you seen the size of a Great Dane?!? If it starts humping you, you KINDA just have to go with it! [blinks]
Speaking from experience?
Oooooh….burn. Keep the dog and see if they’ll take her away!
One of those bitches’ll need to be fixed in the next 6 months-eh?!? [WOW]
The humping is as dry as the wit, Jynksie!
Any drier and we’d be coughing up dust! … I have no idea what I mean by that! [blinks]
My brother’s little schnauzer likes to hump my other brother’s leg. Only him. Weird.
My neighbors had a french poodle that liked to bite me in the ass every time I came over! Never anyone elses, just mine! … the dogs must sense something. [grin]
Yeah, a vasectomy for a puppie. That sounds about right. :/
Run puppy, run!
Thats not the reason this puppy should run! [grin]
I’m really enjoying this revamp/reboot, Jynksie. You’re really coming into your stride and guiding this series in the most entertaining direction. Not too many creators get a second chance to make their series better than before.
Very little consideration is given to the fact that if your product is small and you want to play with it, you can do so, just say what you mean and mean what you say when you do it. Starting over with a reboot may chase some readers away, but over time those recoiled readers will be replaced by new ones. I place MADBURY at an intermediate level, I haven’t actively strived for professional recognition or a large readership, but in time, that is my goal.
I’m glad your enjoying it, I have yet to hear a #WTF from anyone. I think, for the most part, people want to see a long shelf life for ole Hodge! I’ll find my way and do just that! Thanks George!
Although I imagine very soon, both males in the household will have been spayed!
Sounds like that con was fun. I keep meaning to get to more of them… I met Dawn at a tiny con in Philly a while back.
Hodge and the dog, will soon share a special bond. Both will have been fixed! [grin]
The con was enjoyable, a lot of things to consider I hadn’t considered before. I may go the Bill Watterson approach and just recluse myself and have you go find my work somewhere! [smirk]
I’d advise against the Watterson route… I’m already a crazy recluse, and that hasn’t helped my comics!
