What Pam is doing for this series of MADBURY comics is super-super secret. If I told my readers what her activity was, I’d have to kill all 7 of them and frankly, I’m not that much of a go getter! …I like to nap!
It’s a special-size, extra-strength Madbury Treat! While name calling doesn’t solve anything, it sure makes some people feel good.
I see shades of George Jetson/Fred Flintstone getting yelled at in the second panel
Thats the problem these days, the right and the left spend so much time shaming one another by talking at one another, instead of to another, nobody listens to the parts where common agreement can be found.
And yes, I was tapping my inner Hanna Barbera there! *grin* … I just have to decide if Mr. Bigotto remains a silhouette and hands or he’s one day revealed. *ponders*
I love the conversation in this one, Jynksie! It just goes to show that the ladies can sometimes get things done that us guys just can’t seem to accomplish.
That’s not name calling, those are facts! I like that Mr. Bigotto (love the name btw) is always off camera. Fits his personality. Can’t wait to see where this goes….
Thanks for the feedback on keeping this guy off camera, I thought it was a fun and fitting idea to let your imagination, imagine what this villain looks like. I believe the readers mind can make him more diabolical than I ever could! *smirk* …and Bigotto, its Italian for, well… it speaks for itself! He’ll be a recurring character from this point forward.
Hodge is always in need of divine intervention. Panel one would answer most of your questions I think. He left her a message and then by panel 2 all hell has broken loose, which means Mel is on the prowl for retribution. By panel 4, we find out who leaked Hodges and Bigotto’s conversation and thus its a battle of media mogul vs Melinda Madbury.
I could see where that might be a bit confusing considering we’ve never seen Hodge in an office environment before now. I always focused more on his syndicated column and book writing and very little on his “managing editor” position at the newspaper.
I’m sorry, I fail to notice that in the first panel he addresses the person on the line as “honey”. Had I seen that, everything else would have fallen into place. I thought he was calling the couple whose announcement got denied.
Hope Sandy recovers soon from the beating he took from the cops up there after rioting.
Look at you with the double sized comic this week. Extra Wheaties in your bowl??
Actually, I think it was the extra fiber in my All Bran Cereal! o.O I sh*t out a biggie for this weeks comic! *smirk*
Well done! Looking forward to this one.
I expected to see something in the comic blog about Pam’s involvement. Pam is awesome. What did she do to help with the comic? Nosy, ain’t I? Heh.

heh – some great dialogue in this one!
Thanks Alan! I never know how people will take my verbal diarrhea, especially in long form! *grin*

Hodge is the philosopher & Melinda is that steamroller you didn’t see coming til it was to late! *grin*

Wait… Does Melinda work with Hodge or was she just lurking to see if he was in need of her divine intervention?

You were just blinded by the stunning art work to notice the words, weren’t you?!? *grin*
There may be trouble ahead…
so, youre saying the story is predictable -eh?!? *grin* j/k
