I’ve spent the weekend cleaning up and reorganizing the web site for easier navigation and a few new features. The new features include a few new pages of content you’ll find links to in the menu bar at the top of the page.
The first one is “guest comics/art” page, where any guest comics and art by other cartoonists or fans will be placed for your viewing pleasure. The second page we’ve added is called “older comics”, these are the comics from the early days of “How Sweet It Is” that aren’t included in the official archive. The reason for segregating the older work from the current archives is a personal choice. The older comics were my “training” comics, where I was retraining my drawing skills and re-learning photoshop techniques. During this period I was also searching for character identity, both in personality and in art design, so the characters went through several design looks before settling into a rhythm. Some of these older comics may be tapped for future redrawing and added to the official archive down the road, but it’s not my intention to redo these older comics. Finally, “Hodgepodge” (submenu of “old comics”) will eventually hold past incarnations of comics I’ve drawn that are unrelated to “How Sweet It Is”.
