Before we even begin talking about this weeks comic, lets mention the fact that Bunny Wiggins has returned to Muddlecreek looking rather suspicious and hinting to his latest where abouts!
Alrighty, with that out of the way, this weeks guest comic character appearance is none other than that cosmic dog Max from Karl Kleese’s “Willows Grove“! A cigar smoking, short tempered little canine who’s adventures currently have him and his crew on a planet that’s out of a Vincent Price or Abbott and Costello horror movie. Seems Max’s goal is to get Hodge to meet up with the “big guy” whomever he may be?!? Is it a coincidence that both Max and Hodge have wives named Mel?!? Is there a cosmic connection?!? Does jynksie have a clue what he’s doing?!?
Maybe it’s me, but this is an odd journey for a dead guy, no?!? Where’s the angels on high? Where’s the pearly gates? St. Peter, anyone, Bueller?!? So far, the subtleness of water that glows from underneath, disappearing backdrops, sudden time changes, animals and rodents everywhere…. what-is-going-on?!? There are clues, question is, are you looking?!?
Dream sequence or one heck of an afterlife experience….stay tuned.

I’m really enjoying this storyline with all of the guest characters. Your art is incredible throughout this run also.
Well thankie-thankie George!! The most fun being had with this little ditty is the creation the scenes, ones that normally wouldn’t have been made when doing the regular gag stuff. Testing both what Elements and myself can create!!

Woot! More monochromatic Hodge. Are we all being set up to believe that he’s going to heaven? (you know, rays of sun light, sparkles, big guy) Cos, I dunno, I don’t get the impression that Hodge lived a very pious life!!!!
o.O …. what makes you think that Hodge has some unmentioned skeletons in his closet that would hinder his entry through those pearly gates me asks?!? *grin* Hodge does have a saintly first name, no?!? *cough*
What character appearance will we see next? Terence anyone?
Don’t you mean “Ace Pilot” ?!? If I draw Terence…. you’re asking me to draw an elaborate spaceship and, well… *hyperventilates* ……

Grreeaaaattt!! I’ll get right on that because drawing your fancy shmancy space mobiles is a piece of cake— NOT! The degree of difficulty may outweigh my attention span, but we’ll see what appears in the near future!
It might be that heaven has cut it’s greeting budget… or he could be going to purgatory. Purgatory has a chain link fence instead of pearly gates.
He could also be going to hell in a hand basket!! … although I’ve never understood the terminology of that!! *grin*

I didn’t want to take him to far out of his element! Scary, swampy forest in the dark of night seemed fitting for him here too!
I don’t know too many ladies that go around doing that to get to know you! Would be entertaining though!
