There is no other guest character I could think of that belongs beside Hodge for his very colorful worded rant on the bitterness life can toss your way! If you aren’t familiar with Addanac City, then you should be! Celebrating it’s one year anniversary, Hank is an infamous prankster that appears quite wrong in the head, yet you find yourself wanting to go back each and every day to see what he’s gotten himself into. In fact, his one year celebratory comic even has a cameo by none other than our Hodge , he’s one of about 34 comic characters displayed!

As for Hodge, I think he’s beginning some sort of descent towards a dark place! Having lost his book deal (I guess Domino’s handy work had some flaws), Hodge is in the throws of having to face his lifes ambition go up in smoke. Who knows what other characters from the world of comics will show up as he goes down that long, dark, lonely road!

Hahaha! I do believe your privy to the idiocy that rattles inside of Hank's head, Jynksie. It seems you know him as well as I do. I love how Hodge gives the ol' what-for! Outstanding job, man! And thank you! :)

    • jynksie

I dunno if I know him as well as you do George! I have no idea where this kids boundaries lay! Thats the fun of checking back in each and every day, because you just never know what Hank is gonna do! I really enjoyed being able to draw him, it was my first real attempt at using an outside character by my own hand!

There is no other kid out there that could handle Hodges reality! LOL

All I know is it is a good thing he didn't take up Hanks “Lemonade” offer. Who knows where that came from

    • jynksie

I think we all know how Hank makes his lemonade! *grin*

The bitterness is dripping out of every orifice. Side note, have you gone back to standard wordpress commenting?

    • jynksie

side note: Yes I have because the good people at comicpress (2.8) have made it so that the comments section is interlaced in such a way that you now will be notified when someone comments on your comments! It basically has all the same features Disqus had when I was using it a mere yesterday!

Hodge is pretty colourful with language, no wonder he’s a writer!
Like your rendition of Hank. Is this your first kid?

I mean first kid appearance in HSII. ;)

    • jynksie

When it comes to Hank Addanac, what could Hodge ever say that could possibly harm this kids mind any further?!? Hank is the first kid I’ve ever drawn for any comic I’ve ever done, but not to spoil anything, Hank -won’t- be the last kid that comes through here!

      • speearr

If that’s not a spoiler, I don’t know what is! Tie ‘em tubes quick!

      • George

You really know how to keep us tuned in, Jynks! :)

I would hope that Hank doesn’t harm Hodge’s mind!! He should be careful buying any kind of yellow liquid from him…

    • jynksie

Luckily for both of them, this was just a chance meeting in passing! Any more time together and god only knows how wrong things could have gone?!?

  6. Nate Fakes

What’s Hank doing here? Lol. Nice. I wouldn’t try Hank’s lemonade if you paid me

    • jynksie

Everyone has a price Nate!! — EVERYONE *grin*

    • George

Hey, Hank probably makes some great lemonade! I’d suggest adding a few cubes of ice first. And maybe some more sugar. Lots more sugar. :)

I know Hodge is going through hard times, but he is exhibiting symptoms of depression. Has he consider going to therapy? That always seems to work very well on comic strip characters.

    • jynksie

Well, he has a road to travel down before he gets there! But there is nothing more amusing than seeing a comic strip character going through therapy!
