I was reading some works by American poet Ogden Nash and came across the above poem and decided I wanted to borrow it for this weeks strip. The words could not be more true if you’ve ever experienced a moment in your relationship where you, for once, were right! The one moment in my 12 years of marriage where I was right about something, was actually caught on tape and my wifes brother gave me the audio/video of her saying just THAT!! Of course once I received the copy, I played it for her and I promptly got in trouble for something I did in 1998… completely unrelated of course!!
Poet Ogden Nash was known for writing humorous poetry during his respected career, he was also a lyricist for several broadway musicals in the 50’s (I forgive him for those however!). My most favorite poem by him is very short and sweet…
“candy
is dandy,
but liquor
is quicker”
A question, a teaser, if you are pleaser, who wrote Nantucket, the one that doesn’t say “f*** it”? — a question by me

Truer words have never been spoken. Good strip today!
Hey Scott, nice job! I live by that rule! In fact I thought I came up with it! 30 years, this year!!!!!
BTW: what happened to Hodges chair in the 1st & 3rd panels?
Who is this “George” guy? He should stop by our website RESET (www.gamelemon.com/reset). We could use some additional nice comments that he likes to provide.
The chair Isn’t missing, can’t you see it? *grin* …actually I don’t use the chair for the straight on shots because when you do the silhouettes (panel 3), the head and shoulders get lost in the chair back and then it blends to much with the desk, computer and hands and drowns it all out.
Ahhh, yes George… he’s one of the fine people who likes to come along and make ya feel good about the comics you post!! He has a mighty funny comic himself, he does “Addanac City”. In his Thursday (4/16/09) strip , I think he found THE secret to the longevity of marriage (LOL)
But… but… why do the silhouettes then?
BY the way I agree very much with Hodge’s words….
